The origins of this family business go back to 1980, when the barn of an old farmhouse in Sant Martí d’Empúries was converted into a summer bar with a terrace. Coinciding with the arrival of the Olympic flame in the old port of Empúries in 1992, L’Esculapi was completely transformed to become a Restaurant-Pizzeria.

Many of our ideas are not the most technically advanced, but they require effort. An effort that begins with the selection of the best local suppliers to highlight the quality of these fresh ingredients in our dishes.

More than 65% of the the ingredients we work with are from local origin and Km0, we minimize the waste of ingredients, we use sustainable energy, and we employ measures to avoid wasting water. In this way, we want to go beyond the labels and give a lot of importance to the care we have about the operations at our restaurant, in the same way that our farmers and suppliers do with their environments.

On the menu of L’ESCULAPI Restaurant-Pizzeria you will find a bit of everything: from pizzas made with sourdough in the stone oven, to fresh fish and seafood, meat, salads, rice dishes and tapas without forgetting our artisan desserts.
